MARCLAIMED to be featured at Water Projects Europe 2025: Advancing Alternative Water Resources and Circular Solutions

MARCLAIMED is participating in the upcoming Water Projects Europe – From Alternative Water to Circular Solutions, taking place on 3 December 2025 (9:00–12:30) at Thon Hotel EU, Brussels. Held within the framework of Water Knowledge Europe, this edition will unite leading EU-funded water innovation projects to explore how Europe can strengthen resilience and accelerate its transition toward a circular and climate-adapted water future.

As climate change intensifies pressures on Europe’s water systems, the need for new and reliable water resources has become urgent. Projects such as MARCLAIMED, AWARD, and RECREATE—together forming the AWR4CLIMATE cluster (Alternative Water Resources for Climate)—are at the forefront of this challenge. Through innovative aquifer recharge techniques, advanced reservoir management, and pioneering water reuse demonstrations, the AWR4CLIMATE cluster is unlocking new pathways to secure water availability in a warming climate.

But technological breakthroughs alone are not enough. A resilient future depends on embedding these solutions within a systemic framework of water circularity, ensuring they scale, interconnect, and influence long-term policy. This is where complementary initiatives such as CIRSEAU and BOOST-IN play a crucial role, driving integration, knowledge transfer, and the governance models needed to mainstream circular water practices across Europe.

This special edition will connect climate adaptation with circularity, innovation with governance, and on-the-ground demonstrations with the policy frameworks that shape Europe’s water future.

The event will take place during Water Knowledge Europe, at the Thon Hotel EU Rue de la Loi 75, 1040 Brussels, Belgium.
